Ray White Canberra has made a serious statement about its future, naming Jake Battenally and Alec Brown as Joint Managing Directors of its Residential business—two leaders who’ve come through the ranks and now take the reins of one of Canberra’s most dominant real estate operations.
This isn’t just a title change. It’s a strategic move built on years of groundwork.
From humble beginnings—Jake starting in work experience and Alec building a reputation as one of the country’s top auctioneers—both have grown into standout performers and key figures in the business.
Now, they’re tasked with steering a residential sales team that sells one in every nine homes in Canberra.
What began as a three-person outfit has exploded into a powerhouse of 120+ people, with over 1000 homes sold annually and more than 3500 properties under management.
Chairman Ben Faulks didn’t hold back on his endorsement:“Jake’s journey from receptionist to shareholder says it all.
He’s grounded, driven, and someone people genuinely want to follow.
”On Alec: “He sets the standard—an elite auctioneer who leads with energy, professionalism, and results. Watching him transition from a top agent to a mentor and leader has been nothing short of inspiring.”
Both will remain active in sales—proving that leadership doesn’t mean stepping back, but stepping up.
Supporting them is a reshaped leadership team with new associate director roles for Nathan Wood and Treston Bamber.
Behind the scenes, Georgie Parry’s Customer Care team continues to set the benchmark, while Troy Reddick and Scott Jackson bring consistency and depth to the customer experience.
Ray White Group Managing Director Dan White summed it up clearly:“Jake and Alec are the right leaders for what’s next. Their energy and commitment to people are exactly what our network needs.”
Ray White Canberra just doubled down on its people. And the message is clear: real growth happens from the inside out.
