Harcourts Greater Springfield is proud to announce the launch of "10km for $10k," a heartfelt fundraising initiative aimed at raising $10,000 for the Icon Cancer Foundation (ICF).

The funds will support advanced cancer treatment, critical research, and compassionate care, furthering ICF's mission to make a meaningful impact on Australians facing cancer.

“This fundraiser is personal to us,” said Ashlee De La Cruz, Marketing Manager at Harcourts Greater Springfield.

“At Harcourts Greater Springfield, we’ve seen firsthand the impact cancer can have on individuals, families, and communities.

Every step we take is for someone. Every dollar raised brings us closer to better support, better treatment, and better outcomes.”

The inspiration for this effort comes straight from the heart. Harcourts Greater Springfield’s much-loved Director, Rudy Grommen, is currently undergoing treatment for stage 4 colorectal cancer.

Throughout his battle, Rudy has displayed unyielding strength, courage, and grace, embodying the very spirit this initiative seeks to honour.

Participants and supporters alike are invited to join “10km for $10k” on Sunday, September 28, from 8am to 2pm AEST at Robelle Domain, 155 Southern Cross Circuit, Springfield Central, QLD 4300. Whether walking, running, jogging, or simply cheering from the sidelines, every step contributes to the goal.

Harcourts Queensland CEO, Andrew Friebe, shared his admiration, stating,

“This is what community is all about. It’s about coming together for something bigger than ourselves.

The courage and resilience demonstrated by Rudy and the Harcourts Greater Springfield team is nothing short of extraordinary. I’m proud to see this initiative unfold and the support it’s already garnering.”

All proceeds from the event will directly benefit the Icon Cancer Foundation, enabling the organisation to continue its invaluable work of providing life-changing care and conducting vital independent research.

“This event isn’t just about raising money,” De La Cruz added.

“It’s about shining a light on the strength and unity of our community. Every step counts, every dollar makes a difference, and every life matters.”
