For Lauren Wild, real estate success wasn’t handed to her — she built it, brick by brick, through genuine community connection and relentless drive.

Now based in Mornington and just three months into her journey with Area Specialist, Lauren has achieved her most successful month to date, clocking in over $10 million in property sales.

“Honestly, it’s been transformational,” she shared. “Now that I’m not operating under someone else’s franchise name, my own brand is visible. People see me.”

Lauren’s property journey began at 19, sparked by a chance conversation with an agent at a birthday party. With a natural flair for sales honed through retail, she quickly made her mark in real estate, and by 24, she was pitching ownership opportunities to agency leaders.

She proposed building a rent roll from scratch — and did exactly that, growing it to over 100 properties within months. By 2023, she had scaled that to 460 before exiting the business.

But franchising didn’t suit her. “I’ve always had an entrepreneurial streak,” she said. “When you’re giving up such a big slice of your income, paying for your team, your marketing, and still getting taxed heavily — it just doesn’t add up.”

With Area Specialist, Lauren found a model that gives her both freedom and support. But more than the model, it’s her deep local roots that set her apart.

Working predominantly with upsizers and downsizers in the Mornington area, she understands the nuances between beachside and non-beachside buyers.

What really fuels her business, though, is her network.

“I’ve built everything through community,” she explained. “From local events to my Wild Women in Business network and awards nights, I’ve poured my energy into connecting with people.”

That focus means she doesn’t cold call — her business is entirely driven by referrals and relationships. And that’s extended across her ventures, including her publishing business.

“I’m a mum of two young kids, I run multiple businesses, and I’ve come from humble beginnings. No shortcuts, no handouts — just hard work.”

Now with Area Specialist backing her, Lauren says the difference is clear.

“People now recognise me as a real estate leader in the community. Before, I was known more for publishing and events. The perception has flipped — fast.”
