The Harcourts Foundation has awarded a $5,000 grant to the Saba Rose Button Foundation to support the launch of the One Cup Campaign, an innovative community-led fundraising initiative designed to provide sustainable support for children with additional needs and their families.

The Saba Rose Button Foundation works to empower children with additional needs to achieve lives of inclusivity and accessibility. As a not-for-profit charity, the foundation specifically supports families in difficult circumstances, raising funds to help children access therapy, equipment, and family-centred care.

The One Cup Campaign invites community members to contribute the equivalent of one cup of coffee per week for one year. Delivered through partnerships with local cafés in communities where Harcourts offices operate, the campaign transforms an everyday habit into meaningful, ongoing support.

The grant will fund marketing and administration costs, as well as provide donors who commit to regular giving with a reusable Saba Rose Button Foundation coffee cup. The cup serves as both a practical thank-you gift and a visible reminder that small, everyday actions can create lasting change.

"We're proud to support the Saba Rose Button Foundation and the incredible work they do for children and families facing some of life's toughest challenges," said Pauline Smith, Head of the Harcourts Foundation.

"The One Cup Campaign is a brilliant example of how communities can come together to make a real difference, one small contribution at a time."

The foundation currently supports over 260 children and families annually, including 20% from regional and remote communities.

The regular donations generated through the One Cup Campaign will directly fund the foundation's rehabME, REGIONAL rehabME, and reCHARGE ME programs, ensuring consistent access to therapy, equipment, and support for families who face financial or geographic barriers to care.

Matt McWaters of Harcourts Empire has been instrumental in championing the Saba Rose Button Foundation's work within the Harcourts network. "Getting to know the families supported by the Saba Rose Button Foundation has been humbling," said McWaters.

"This campaign is about more than fundraising. It's about embedding care and compassion into the fabric of our communities. I'm thrilled to see the Harcourts Foundation backing this initiative, and I encourage everyone to get involved."

A spokesperson from the Saba Rose Button Foundation said, "We're incredibly grateful to the Harcourts Foundation for their support.

This grant will help us build a sustainable income stream that allows us to be there for families over the long term. The One Cup Campaign is about consistency, community, and creating better outcomes for children who deserve every opportunity to thrive."

By embedding the campaign into everyday community spaces, the One Cup Campaign helps ensure children with additional needs and their families can access the support and care they need, leading to better outcomes and a greater quality of life.
