A Christmas Drive for Compassion: Walking With Nourish Street Inc.

On a warm Queensland evening, as the sun dips behind the trees in Moreton Bay, a small group of volunteers gathers around a folding table on the side of the road. Pots simmer, torches glow, and one by one, people quietly step forward for a hot meal. At the heart of it all is Nourish Street Inc. — not just serving food, but restoring dignity.

This Christmas, The Harcourts Foundation is privileged to walk alongside this grassroots organisation whose work is as heartfelt as it is essential.

A Mission Rooted in Humanity

Every week, Nourish Street provides meals, care packages, and sleeping gear to people experiencing homelessness — but what matters most is the connection they create. A smile. A conversation. A moment where someone feels seen again.

They know that homelessness isn’t a choice — and kindness shouldn’t be conditional.
