Super brand Raine & Horne recognised its leading offices, principals, sales and property management professionals, and leading support staff at its 2025 Queensland & NSW Northern Rivers Awards for Excellence, themed Above & Beyond, hosted by leading Australian comedian Rob Shehadie, who skilfully “piloted” proceedings throughout the night.
Held at dazzling The Star Brisbane in the heart of the Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct, the sold-out event that attracted hundreds of Raine & Horne’s best and brightest in Queensland opened with guests welcomed “aboard” by “Flight Director” Shehadi, followed by an in-flight, entertainingly themed safety briefing before the formal awards proceedings commenced.
The welcome video starring Biscuit the cockatoo, mirrored Raine & Horne’s 2026 summer marketing campaign, which draws on the brand’s own advertising archive as its creative foundation. Original television ads from the 1980s and early 2000s, including the memorable 2008 commercial featuring an agent dealing with an errant cockatoo trying to disrupt the open house he was trying to organise, proved a hit with attendees.

Angus Raine, Executive Chairman of Raine & Horne, delivered the welcome speech, followed by an address from CEO Chris Nicholl that set the tone for a night celebrating performance, leadership and service excellence across the state.
Mr Raine said the 2025 Awards for Excellence reflected the strength of the brand’s office network across Queensland and Northern NSW, people and its strong connection to the communities it serves. “These awards are about recognising the people who consistently go above and beyond for their clients and their communities,” Mr Raine said.
“Across Queensland and the NSW Northern Rivers, we’re seeing outstanding professionalism, resilience as well as a genuine commitment to delivering results, whether that’s in metropolitan, coastal, regional or rural markets.”
Mr Nicholl said the calibre of this year’s winners highlighted the scale of talent across the Raine & Horne network and the momentum building across all sectors. “The breadth of performance we’re seeing across residential, rural and commercial real estate is a credit to our offices and their leadership,” he said.
“Our network continues to grow stronger because our people are focused on service, collaboration and using industry-best tools and insights provided by Raine & Horne to help their clients make confident property decisions.”
Among the major honours, Raine & Horne Gladstone was recognised as the Top Office for Number of Sales Transactions. This is an incredible honour for principals Nathan Green and Aaron Fiora, who only assumed the reins at Raine & Horne Gladstone from long-time principal Mark Patton midway through 2025.
Raine & Horne McLean | Yamba| Iluka led by Managing Director Brandon Bourkesecured first in the Top Office – Sales GCI category, and the office was also named Top Coastal Office, showing its dominance across key lifestyle markets.
In the principal categories, Jamie Wilmen of Raine & Horne Pottsville Beach | Cabarita Beach was awarded Top Principal – Sales GCI, while Carla Healy of Raine & Horne Ayr was named Top Principal – Number of Sales Transactions.
Steven James of Raine & Horne Gladstone emerged as one of the night’s distinguished performers, taking out both Top Salesperson – Number of Sales Transactions and Top Salesperson – Sales GCI.
In other major office categories, Raine & Horne Roma was recognised as Top Rural Office – Sales GCI, while Raine & Horne Innisfail secured honours in the Top Regional Office – Sales GCI category

The Queensland network’s commercial property awards also proved a major event highlight, with Raine & Horne Commercial North, led by leading principal Trent Bruce, named Top Commercial Office for Number of Sales Transactions.
The Kedron-based office also won Top Commercial Office – Sales GCI, reinforcing its leadership in the commercial sector in Brisbane’s northern suburbs. At an individual level, Mr Bruce finished ahead of colleague Des Besanko of Raine & Horne Commercial Mackay in the Top Commercial Principal categories for both Number of Sales Transactions and Sales GCI.
