Aurora Property has appointed Tracy Zhang to its sales team, expanding the independent agency's coverage across Sydney's Upper North Shore.
Ms Zhang will service the corridor running from Turramurra through to Macquarie Park, part of the agency's push across the Northern Districts.
The agency said in its announcement on Wednesday that Ms Zhang brings "local knowledge, strong market experience and a genuine understanding of the communities she represents", and described her as a fantastic addition to a growing sales team.
Aurora Property general manager Antonio Licata welcomed the appointment.
Ms Zhang takes the role in a Sydney market that has been contracting through 2026. Dwelling values across the city fell 2.0 per cent over the year to July, with the median at $1,244,617, according to the Cotality Home Value Index for July 2026.
Auction conditions have moved with it. Sydney recorded a 52 per cent clearance rate across the week of 9 to 15 August, against 74 per cent in the same week last year, Domain reported.
Her patch spans two very different markets. Turramurra's median house price sits at $3.4 million, up 11.95 per cent over 12 months across 153 sales, with an average 80 days on market, according to Cotality data published through PropertyValue.
At the southern end of the corridor the market changes character entirely. Two bedroom units in Macquarie Park carry a $940,000 median, according to Domain suburb data.
The Northern Districts have been a recruitment target for independents and established networks alike, with the corridor's buyer pool historically rewarding local relationships over brand recognition.
Aurora Property closed its announcement by saying that great agents know their market, and that great agencies give them the platform to go further.
