Harcourts International Announces Key Global Leadership Appointments, Championing Senior Female Talent

In a significant move that underscores its commitment to fostering internal talent and empowering female leadership, Harcourts International Ltd (HIL) has announced the promotion of two of its most accomplished senior women to global leadership positions.

Teagan Seccombe (pictured left), has been appointed as the new Head of Events and Partnerships for HIL, whilst Karmen Costigan (pictured right)takes on the role of Head of Property Management across the entire Harcourts International network.

These appointments highlight the strategic importance Harcourts places on recognising the exceptional talent already thriving within its ranks. Both women have established remarkable track records of success in their respective fields, driving innovation, commercial outcomes, and cultural alignment.

Teagan Seccombe formerly the Head of Events for Australia, steps into her expanded role to oversee all events and business partner relationships across New Zealand and Australia. With over a decade of experience across international markets, Seccombe is renowned for her ability to translate complex strategy into high-impact experiences. She has consistently partnered with executive leadership to shape event strategy, manage multi-million-dollar budgets, and deliver flagship conferences that strengthen the brand.

Reflecting on her new role, Seccombe shared her vision for the future of Harcourts' events. "I am passionate about designing experiences that matter—those that elevate leadership, reinforce culture, and move organisations forward. My approach has always been collaborative and grounded in building strong relationships with our stakeholders and partners, and I am thrilled to bring this focus to our broader trans-Tasman network," she said.

Similarly, Karmen Costigan brings over two decades of robust industry experience to her new global role.

Previously the Head of Property Management for Australia, Costigan has built a formidable reputation for driving high performance and growth. Her deep understanding of the evolving real estate landscape has enabled Harcourts agencies to move beyond reactive approaches, fully embracing best practice, technology, and strategic development. In her new capacity, she will lead the property management strategy across the global network, focusing on team development, world-class training programmes, and enhancing the overall client experience.
