Real Estate Today Unveils Rebuilt Platform and Expanded Team as It Enters Next Phase of Growth

Sydney, Australia, April 2026

Real Estate Today has launched a fully rebuilt platform from the inside out, designed for the industry at every level, from how partners engage with it to how audiences experience it, placing the business ahead of where the industry currently operates. This marks a structural shift in how real estate media operates in Australia.

The relaunch reflects a deliberate move toward building for what is coming next, rather than what currently exists, with Nic Fren, chief executive of Bespoke Media Group, noting that developments seen in other international markets are already influencing how the platform is being prepared and delivered locally.

As part of this evolution, Real Estate Today is introducing a suite of capabilities including a personalised My RET feed, daily audio briefings, integrated social media tools, real time industry intelligence and a partner ecosystem with live analytics, designed to deliver a more responsive and tailored experience in an increasingly digital and AI driven environment. This changes how agents, brands and networks interact with media.

The new platform has been developed over the past eight months in collaboration with product developers, artificial intelligence specialists and digital strategists across the United States, Germany and China, with a focus on aligning the platform with how modern media is consumed and how user expectations are evolving globally.

Key features include a personalised My RET feed tailored to user preferences, daily audio briefings delivering industry updates, behaviour driven content mapping through the RET Intelligence system, integrated tools for creating and scheduling social media content, a live news ticker and trending engine, and a partner portal enabling self serve advertising with analytics and reporting. These capabilities are not currently offered together within any other Australian real estate publication.

This capability is underpinned by a broader structural shift in how the platform has been built. Real Estate Today no longer delivers static content to a passive audience. It now operates as a responsive system that adapts in real time to user behaviour and interaction, creating a more relevant experience for the audience and a more effective, performance driven environment for partners.

Mr Fren said the platform’s underlying approach has been shaped by more than a decade of experience working within social media environments, where algorithm driven distribution determines what users see, engage with and return to. He said Real Estate Today has applied those same principles within its own controlled, purpose built algorithm, allowing content to be surfaced based on behaviour, interest and interaction, rather than static distribution.

He said the intention was to move away from a one size fits all model, where audiences are presented with the same content regardless of relevance, and instead deliver a more responsive and engaging experience that evolves with the user. By developing its own algorithmic framework, the platform is able to prioritise content that aligns with individual engagement patterns, improving both user experience and partner visibility.

Mr Fren said this approach reflects a broader shift in how media is consumed, where personalisation and relevance are critical to retaining attention. The result is a platform designed not only to inform, but to adapt, creating a more relevant and commercially effective environment for both readers and partners.

Internal analysis indicates that Real Estate Today now sets the benchmark for Australian industry platforms across several areas, including design, platform functionality and advertising infrastructure, with a score of 88 out of 100, compared with competitors such as Elite Agent and Real Estate Business . The gap is not incremental, it is structural.

The relaunch also coincides with a significant expansion of the Real Estate Today team. While the platform has been supported by offshore teams across design and infrastructure, the business is now establishing a local Australian team across partnerships, technology, editorial and production.

The structure includes a partnerships division, a technology and innovation function, two editors and a producer, supporting a more scalable operating model. This marks the point where the platform transitions from founder driven to fully scalable.

This creates a scalable layer that networks can leverage across their entire group, not just at the individual agent level.

Mr Fren said the expansion will enable the business to increase output, consistency and speed as it continues to grow across markets.

Real Estate Today was initially launched in New Zealand, where it reached a leading position within three months. It entered Australia in January and, according to internal metrics, reached the number one position for engagement and influence within five months, with the company approaching one year in that position.

Mr Fren, who has worked across real estate and media for more than a decade, has been associated with early adoption of digital marketing within the industry, including the use of social media for property sales in the mid 2010s, and has continued to focus on innovation and platform development across the sector.

The company said the updated platform reflects a broader move toward integrating media, technology and data into a single environment, aligning with how modern digital platforms are being built globally. This is not a gradual evolution, it is a step change.

In addition, Real Estate Today is expanding its coverage of community and charitable initiatives across the real estate sector, with the aim of providing greater visibility to industry contributions and impact.

Real Estate Today is an independent real estate media platform operating across multiple international markets and developed by Bespoke Media Group, combining editorial content with technology and data driven systems for real estate professionals.
