REMAX Expands Into Western Downs With Dalby Office Launch

Dalby’s Daniel Ferris has already made a name for himself in Queensland’s Western Downs, the REMAX real estate agent joining the network in late 2025 now stepping into his role as broker-owner, with REMAX Heartland Real Estate officially opening its doors this week.

Daniel’s transition from agent to business owner came naturally, building on a career trajectory that saw the property manager-turned-sales agent excel across both disciplines, fuelled by a passion for helping others.

“I have a real drive to succeed in whatever I put my energy into. I have always been like that, and through connecting with people and the community, real estate came very naturally to me,” said Mr Ferris.  

“I love meeting people and building connections, and in the early days of my career I just wanted to absorb as much of the industry as I could."

Within three years, Daniel was supervising over 700 properties under management. His move into sales came in early 2024, driven by a desire to expand his skill set and further connect people with property.

This quickly evolved into his vision of bringing both property management and sales collectively under one roof as a business owner, with the support of respected local sales agent Donna Cook.

“I want REMAX Heartland Real Estate to be known as the real estate agency that has the community at its heart and Donna shares in that vision for the office,” said Mr Ferris.

A born and bred local, Donna is well connected throughout the region – she understands the community, the lifestyle and what makes Dalby such a great place to live and work.

“Dan and I worked together previously, and I always admired his rapport with buyers and sellers,” said Donna. “I felt that combining this strong communication and his energy, to my attention to detail and local knowledge we could make a strong team.”

REMAX Australia Franchise Manager Daniel Roberts shared the expansion to Queensland’s Western Downs region is a strong step forward for the brand’s continued growth.
