Long before electricity hummed through Tasmanian streets or cars rolled down George Street, Launceston City Mission opened its doors in 1854 with one powerful mission: to bring hope to people in need.

This year, as they celebrate 170 years of service, we’re honoured to join them in their Christmas appeal.

A Legacy Carved in Compassion

Generations of Tasmanians have walked through City Mission’s doors — seeking relief, support, guidance, or simply a moment of kindness.

Their services span emergency relief, addiction recovery, youth support, and community care.

While the world has changed, their commitment hasn’t.

“Together with Harcourts, we can ensure more Tasmanian families experience care, support, and dignity this Christmas.” — City Mission Representative

Harcourts Tasmania CEO Tont Morrison agreed: “This partnership reflects the heart of Christmas — helping others, lifting communities, and spreading hope. City Mission embodies that spirit every day.”

“It’s a privilege to support an organisation that has walked alongside Tasmanians for generations. Their work truly transforms lives.”

Support Their Legacy This Christmas

We’re collecting:

  1. Pantry foods

  2. Personal care items

  3. Insect repellent

  4. Everyday essentials

Drop donations at Harcourts Tasmania offices by Friday, 5 December.

Let’s honour 170 years of hope by giving generously this Christmas.
