Harcourts International has launched Guys in Ties, a new podcast series bringing together Managing Director Mike Green and Head of Data & Analytics Nick Jewitt for honest conversations about leadership, data, business growth and the realities of modern real estate.Designed to move beyond polished presentations and corporate jargon, Guys in Ties offers practical discussions drawn from decades of industry experience, tackling the habits, decisions and challenges that shape successful businesses.
The podcast opens with a two-part series, Why You Need a Business Plan!, exploring why long-term success is built on discipline, consistency and preparation rather than motivation alone. Episode three, The Data is in the Details!, shifts the conversation to the growing role of data in helping real estate professionals make smarter business decisions.
Mr Jewitt said the podcast was created to share genuine conversations that listeners could immediately apply to their own businesses.
"We wanted Guys in Ties to feel like the conversations people have after the meeting, not during it," he said.
"There are plenty of podcasts telling people what they should do. We wanted to talk honestly about what we've learnt through experience, what's worked, what hasn't, and why consistency still beats quick fixes."
Mr Green said the series reflected Harcourts' belief that leadership is built through continual learning and open conversation.
"Real estate is an industry built on people, relationships and trust," he said.
"The best leaders never stop learning, and they aren't afraid to share their experiences, the successes as well as the setbacks. If these conversations help someone improve their business, become a better leader or simply think differently about the way they work, then we've achieved exactly what we set out to do."
With additional episodes already recorded, Guys in Ties will continue exploring topics including leadership, culture, performance, business planning and data, with practical insights for business owners, sales consultants and property managers across the Harcourts network and the wider real estate industry.
Whether you're leading a team, growing a business or simply looking for fresh ideas, Guys in Ties delivers straightforward conversations, practical takeaways and authentic insights from two experienced voices in real estate.
