The Harcourts Foundation has today launched its inaugural annual Christmas Donation Drive, calling on the Harcourts network and broader community to help those facing hardship experience a better Christmas this year.
The drive encourages donations of tinned and non-perishable pantry items, personal hygiene products including soap, toothpaste, sanitary items, deodorant, and shampoo, as well as practical items like insect repellent to support outdoor living. Collection points will be available at Harcourts Residential, and State Support offices across Australia.
All donations will be distributed to six charities the Foundation has supported throughout the year, each playing a vital role in their local communities. In Queensland, donations will go to Nourish Street Inc. in Brisbane.
New South Wales contributions will support Our Big Kitchen in Sydney, whilst Victorian donations will benefit The Big Umbrella. South Australian collections will be directed to Foodbank, Western Australian items to The Pantry, and Tasmanian donations to City Mission.
Pauline Smith, Head of the Harcourts Foundation, said the drive reflects the organisation's commitment to supporting vulnerable Australians during the festive period.
"This Christmas, we aim to bring hope and practical support to those in need through the collective generosity of our team, network, and community. Every donation, big or small, makes a significant difference in the lives of individuals and families facing hardship during the festive season."
Adrian Knowles, CEO of Harcourts Australia, emphasised the importance of the Harcourts Foundation's partnerships with these community organisations.
"We're proud to partner with these incredible charities and support their vital work in serving our communities. Together, we can make this Christmas a little brighter for those less fortunate."
The Harcourts Foundation Christmas Donation Drive will run until the 5th December, with collection points open during regular business hours.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, has the power to make a real difference. Harcourts team members are encouraging everyone to get involved, whether by donating goods, spreading the word, or volunteering to assist with collections.
It's a reminder that the smallest acts of kindness can have the biggest impact during the season of giving.
"Together, we can spread hope and happiness to those who need it most."
