    South Australia has long been regarded as one of the more challenging markets in the country for real estate networks to grow in. It is a market defined by strong local identities, established relationships, and a degree of resistance to new operating models. Which is why the latest results are noteworthy;

    Based on data from October 2025 to April 2026 from REA Group, eXp Real Estate Australia – SA has taken the number one position for both new listings and sold listings, placing ahead of several long-established agencies in the state.

    · 1 for New Listings – 289 listings (4.86% market share)

    · 1 for Sold Listings – 272 (4.74% market share)

    This represents a measurable shift in market dynamics rather than a short-term spike.

    South Australia has not historically been a market where new models gain traction quickly. Brand loyalty runs deep and agents have typically operated within established structures for long periods of time. When a new model not only enters the market but leads it in both listings and sales, it suggests a broader shift in how agents are choosing to operate.

    This is less about disruption for its own sake and more about measurable performance outcomes.

    Country Leader Mindy Powell-Hodges she said “these results reflect the calibre of agents operating within our South Australian network. We’re seeing experienced, high-performing professionals who are attracted to our technology and structure”. She added “our agents operate in a fully cloud-based structure, supported by integrated CRM and marketing systems, and most importantly connected to a broader global network of over 80,000 + agents. This allows for a level of flexibility and scalability that differs from more traditional frameworks”.

    This level of consistency across both listings and sales is typically seen in more mature networks, making the result notable for a model still scaling in the Australian market.

    The South Australian results provide an early indication of how agent preferences may be evolving. In a market that has traditionally been slower to adopt new models, the emergence of a cloud-based network in a leading position suggests a shift toward structures that prioritise flexibility, scalability, and performance alignment.

    Whether this momentum continues will depend on sustained performance, but the current data points to a clear shift already underway. In a market historically slow to change, that shift particually significant.
