Anna Sutherland of Harcourts Adelaide Hills Property Management has received a Lifetime Achievement Award, and Harcourts Pinnacle has been named Best Team Culture (Large Office), at the 2026 Real Estate Business Property Management Excellence Awards.

The awards were presented at The Star in Sydney on Thursday 5 November, in front of property management professionals from across Australia. Categories recognised service, leadership, innovation and business performance. It was the second year of the event.

The Lifetime Achievement Award acknowledges Ms Sutherland's contribution to the property management profession. The Harcourts Pinnacle win recognises the culture and team environment the office has built.

    What the network said

Karmen Costigan, Head of Property Management at Harcourts International, said both results reflected the people behind the work.

"Property management is built on relationships, trust and the commitment of people who work hard every day to support their clients and communities. Anna's Lifetime Achievement Award is a wonderful recognition of the contribution she has made to the profession, while Harcourts Pinnacle's award celebrates the importance of creating a strong, supportive team culture," she said.

"Both achievements reflect the different ways excellence is demonstrated in property management, and we're proud to see that work recognised on a national stage."

    Why it matters for principals

Team culture has become a recruiting and retention issue for rent rolls as much as a matter of pride. With experienced property managers in short supply, an office recognised for how it treats its people has a story to tell when it is hiring, and a lifetime award is a reminder of how much a long-serving property manager is worth to a business.
