As the cost of living continues to place pressure on households across Australia, many families are finding it harder than ever to put food on the table. This winter, Urban Real Estate is inviting the community to come together and help make a meaningful difference.
Urban is proud to be partnering with OzHarvest for a Winter Food Drive, supporting individuals and families experiencing food insecurity across the Hunter, Sydney and Illawarra regions.
From the beginning of the campaign, every Urban Real Estate office will become a collection point for non-perishable food donations, with community members welcome to drop off items every Tuesday and Friday between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
For Urban Real Estate CEO Katrina Tarrant, giving back has always been part of the company's DNA.
"At Urban, we're incredibly fortunate to work alongside so many wonderful people and families in our communities every day. This partnership with OzHarvest is about coming together to support those who are doing it tough and showing that even the smallest act of kindness can have a lasting impact," said Ms Tarrant.
"Whether it's donating a few pantry staples or simply helping spread the word, every contribution matters. We're proud to stand alongside OzHarvest and our local communities to help ensure more families have access to nutritious food this winter."
OzHarvest has long been recognised for rescuing quality surplus food and delivering it to charities that support Australians in need. Through this partnership, every donation collected at Urban offices will help provide essential meals to people experiencing hardship.
Items most needed include:
- Canned vegetables, soups and legumes
- Pasta, rice and noodles
- Breakfast cereals
- Long-life milk
- Tea and coffee
- Pasta sauces
- Peanut butter, spreads and other pantry staples
Urban Real Estate is encouraging local residents, businesses, schools and community groups across the Hunter, Sydney and Illawarra regions to get involved.
Community has always been at the heart of Urban. While the team is passionate about helping people find a place to call home, they're equally passionate about supporting the neighbourhoods they live and work in.
This Winter Food Drive is a reminder that when a community comes together, small acts of generosity can create a big impact.
