NAI Harcourts, the commercial arm of Harcourts International, has expanded into South Australia with the launch of NAI Harcourts C&I in Adelaide — strengthening its presence in a market increasingly defined by disciplined investment and advice-led transactions.

The new venture, led by respected commercial operator Con Kavooris and Harcourts business leader Mark & Sarah Sheppard, combines deep local expertise with the scale and backing of the Harcourts network.

The expansion comes as commercial property markets across Australia recalibrate, with investors placing greater emphasis on income durability, asset quality and long-term fundamentals.

Kavooris said the business had been built with a clear focus on advisory-led outcomes.

“This is not about building the biggest agency — it’s about building the most trusted,” he said. “Commercial property in South Australia is relationship-driven, and clients want advisors who understand not just the asset, but the decisions behind it.”

With a reputation built on repeat and referral business, Kavooris said more considered, analytical clients are aligning with the firm’s approach.

“Clients are focused on long-term value. That plays directly to our strengths as a business built on advice, not just transactions.”

A Strategic Partnership Strengthening Local Capability

The launch also formalises the partnership with Mark Sheppard, a highly regarded Harcourts leader with more than two decades of experience.

Sheppard said the business reflects a shift towards transparency and execution.

“Clients don’t need more noise — they need clarity, experience and people who will tell it like it is,” he said. “We’re building a business focused on outcomes, backed by experience and a broader network.”

“Connecting local opportunities with a wider network ultimately delivers better insight and stronger results for clients.”

Positioned for a More Disciplined Cycle

Harcourts Head of Commercial Tom Donnelly said the expansion reflects a broader shift in how commercial property is being transacted.

“We’re seeing a clear move towards disciplined capital and advice-led transactions across the country, and South Australia is no exception,” Donnelly said.

“Investors are prioritising income security, tenant quality and long-term performance, increasing demand for experienced operators who can provide genuine strategic guidance.”

“Markets like South Australia reward experience, relationships and consistency — and that’s exactly what this team brings.”

    Built for Long-Term Relevance

NAI Harcourts C&I has been structured as a full-service commercial business across sales, leasing, acquisitions and property management.

Rather than pursuing scale, the focus is on long-term relationships and consistent performance.

“We’ve built this business around professionalism, accountability and service,” Kavooris said. “Our focus is on delivering outcomes that stand up over time.”

"The launch of NAI Harcourts C&I represents a significant milestone for our network," said Heather Edwards, CEO of Harcourts SA. "By combining global connectivity with exceptional local talent, we are empowering clients with the insights and confidence they need to make sound, strategic investments in a shifting economic landscape."

    Looking Ahead

The expansion signals a considered move into South Australia at a time when experience, discipline and trusted advice are increasingly valued.

Kavooris said the long-term ambition is clear.

“We are building more than a commercial real estate business,” he said. “We are building a trusted advisory firm that clients can rely on for honest guidance, strong outcomes and long-term value.”
