Harcourts Narooma Opens Its Doors as Established Eurobodalla Team Expands Local Presence

In established Eurobodalla real estate team is expanding its local footprint, with Harcourts Narooma opening its doors as the next chapter in the growth of Harcourts Batemans Bay.

Owned by Omania Terry and Dene Lewthwaite, the business has built a strong presence across Batemans Bay – known locally as “The Bay” – and the wider Eurobodalla region, with an experienced team working across residential sales, property management and holiday rentals.

Dene brings more than 27 years of real estate experience to the business, moving to Batemans Bay in 2011 before taking on the Harcourts franchise in 2019. Omania joined the business in 2020 after moving to the region, bringing an MBA in Business and a strong background in business and client relationships.

The new Narooma office provides a second local base for the business while maintaining a simple philosophy: two locations, one team.

For clients, that means greater accessibility and local coverage without losing the relationships and local knowledge that have helped establish the business.

Harcourts NSW/ACT CEO Andrew McCulloch said the opening reflected the strength of the existing team and its commitment to the local market.

“Expanding into Narooma is a great next step for Omania, Dene and the team,” McCulloch said. “They have built a strong local business by putting relationships first, and this new office gives them an opportunity to extend that approach across even more of the Eurobodalla region.”

The expansion has been driven in part by the team already on the ground in the region. Sales team member Jenna Turnbull, who joined Harcourts Batemans Bay last year, brought strong local connections that helped identify the opportunity to establish a presence in Narooma. She was joined by Property Manager Melissa Dell, who brings more than four years of local real estate experience.

Together, the pair have helped create the foundations for Harcourts Narooma.

The Eurobodalla region stretches from Batemans Bay through Moruya to Narooma and encompasses a diverse mix of coastal and rural communities and property markets, from residential and lifestyle homes to rural properties, investments and holiday accommodation.

Dene Lewthwaite said the team’s understanding of the broader region was a key reason for expanding into Narooma.

“We’re fortunate to work in a region where every community has its own character and property market,” Lewthwaite said.

“Our team has developed relationships across Eurobodalla, and having offices in both Batemans Bay and Narooma allows us to bring that local knowledge closer to more of the people we work with.”

The Narooma team will offer a broad range of services, including residential, land and development sales, property management and short-term rentals, supported by additional services including property preparation, maintenance and styling.

The expansion has also been supported by the broader resources available through Harcourts, including technology, marketing, systems and the network’s collective expertise.

For Terry and Lewthwaite, the appeal is being able to combine those resources with the local knowledge and relationships that remain at the heart of their business.

Harcourts Batemans Bay’s annual Golf Day has become an important event on the local calendar, bringing together local businesses and supporters to raise funds for worthwhile causes. Now in its fourth year, the 2026 event will support Ronald McDonald House Charities, with the Golf Day taking place on 25 September.

The team also supports a range of local sporting and community organisations, reflecting its commitment to contributing to the communities in which it lives and works.
