Harcourts Local Supports Day for Daniel to Champion Child Safety

Tim Williams and the team at the four Harcourts Local offices have proudly announced their participation in last Friday's "Day for Daniel," Australia's largest child safety awareness event.

The team embraced the "Wear Red, Educate, and Donate" initiative to support the Daniel Morcombe Foundation and its vital mission.

Held annually on the last Friday of October, Day for Daniel honours the memory of Daniel Morcombe, a 13-year-old boy who was abducted and murdered in 2003.

The day serves as a national call to action, reminding communities of their collective role in protecting children. Harcourts Local joined thousands across Australia by wearing red to raise awareness and contribute to the cause.

Mr Williams emphasised the importance of community involvement. "Keeping kids safe is everyone's responsibility," he stated.

The event encourages parents, educators, and community leaders to initiate conversations about personal safety with young people and implement safety education activities in schools and early learning centres.

The Daniel Morcombe Foundation uses the funds raised during Day for Daniel to develop free safety resources and programs.

These materials are crucial for teaching children how to stay safe and provide support for young victims of crime.

The red t-shirt Daniel was wearing when he went missing has become a powerful symbol of this national movement, is was proudly worn by the teams from Harcourts Local (pictured).
