The Harcourts Local Cup has raised $20,000 for two Queensland charities, with $10,000 donated to the Mental Awareness Foundation and $10,000 to The Lady Musgrave Trust.
Now in its second year of supporting both organisations, the event attracted 132 players and 148 attendees, bringing the Harcourts Local community, clients and supporters together for a day of golf, connection and fundraising.
Business Owner Jacqui Bartholomeusz said the event was about more than the fundraising total.
"We actually raised $20,000 at our Golf Day this year, which is an incredible result," Jacqui said. "We're really proud to be supporting the Mental Awareness Foundation and The Lady Musgrave Trust for the second year. They are both doing incredibly important work in our community, and it's wonderful to be able to use our Golf Day to help support the difference they make."
Where the money goes
The $10,000 donation to the Mental Awareness Foundation will go towards its 2026 Walk for Awareness, taking place on 18 October. Now in its 16th year, the Walk brings together thousands of people to honour the nine lives lost to suicide every day and walk together for better mental health in Australia.
The $10,000 donation to The Lady Musgrave Trust will support two significant housing initiatives for young mothers and their children. As part of a $30 million Queensland Government housing package, the Trust will deliver 13 of 20 new homes being created across Queensland. The purpose-built, self-contained homes in Ipswich will provide safe accommodation alongside wraparound support, helping young mothers maintain secure tenancies, pursue education and training, and build greater stability for their families.
The Trust has also recently settled on a Gold Coast property that will provide additional safe housing for young mothers and their children.
Impact beyond the day
The impact of the Harcourts Local Cup extends beyond the funds raised on the day. After attending the 2025 event and learning more about The Lady Musgrave Trust's work, one golfer was inspired to commit a further $100,000 donation over two years to support the organisation.
For Harcourts Local, that is an important part of what the event is designed to achieve — creating opportunities for people to connect with the charities being supported and potentially inspiring support that continues well beyond the Golf Day itself.
With its second year now complete, the Harcourts Local Cup is continuing to bring people together around causes that have a lasting impact in the Queensland community.
