Harcourts is encouraging offices across its Australian network to come together for Day for Daniel on Friday 30 October, supporting a national call to action for child safety.

The Harcourts Foundation is getting behind the 2026 Day for Daniel campaign, encouraging teams across the network to Wear Red, Educate and Donate in support of the Daniel Morcombe Foundation.

Held on Friday 30 October, Day for Daniel is Australia's largest national event dedicated to child safety education and awareness. The day brings schools, workplaces, businesses and communities together to promote safer communities and empower children to recognise, react and report when they feel unsafe.

    A network-wide push

The network-wide push has been championed by Tim Williams of Harcourts Local, whose team participated in Day for Daniel last year.

"Keeping kids safe is something we can all relate to," Tim said. "I'd really like Harcourts to get behind the Day for Daniel campaign, Australia wide. It aligns perfectly with our company values, being part of our community, supporting the people around us and making a positive difference beyond our day-to-day business. But above all, it's about something far more important – keeping our kids safe. It's a simple way to show that we genuinely care about the communities we're part of."

Head of the Harcourts Foundation, Pauline Smith, said the Foundation was proud to support the campaign and encourage participation across the network.

"Day for Daniel gives our people a really simple way to come together and support an important message," Pauline said. "Child safety is something that matters in every community, and our Harcourts teams are part of those communities every day. We'd love to see offices across the country get behind the campaign in whatever way works for them – whether that's wearing red, sharing child safety resources, fundraising or simply starting a conversation. It's a great example of how small actions across our network can create awareness and make a difference."

    How offices can take part

The Daniel Morcombe Foundation provides free child safety education and resources for children, families, educators and communities. Day for Daniel's 2026 program includes Australia's Biggest Child Safety Lesson, with free, curriculum-aligned resources available to participating organisations.

For Harcourts offices, getting involved doesn't need to be complicated. Teams can register for Day for Daniel, wear red, share the campaign's safety resources, organise a workplace activity or fundraiser, or simply use the day as an opportunity to start conversations about child safety.

Friday 30 October is Day for Daniel. Harcourts is encouraging its people across Australia to get involved and help champion child safety in the communities they call home. Wear Red. Educate. Donate.
