Harcourts Victoria is thrilled to announce the official launch of Harcourts Box Hill, spearheaded by industry veterans Michael Wu (pictured on the right) and Janssen Xiang (pictured left). Bringing together more than 35 years of combined real estate expertise, this new office is set to elevate property sales and management across Melbourne’s eastern suburbs.
Michael Wu brings over 15 years of industry experience and a formidable reputation for strategic negotiation.
Throughout his career, he has successfully navigated a diverse range of high-value transactions, including residential properties exceeding $5 million and commercial deals topping $20 million. Despite dealing with these high-stakes figures, Michael remains remarkably grounded. He knows that meticulous, attentive service—and perhaps a healthy obsession with perfecting his badminton swing on the weekends—is what truly builds lasting trust with his clients.
Joining him is Janssen Xiang, a true trailblazer who has been shaping the Melbourne real estate landscape since 2005. Widely recognised as Melbourne’s first Chinese auctioneer, Janssen is a pioneer of the local industry.
Fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese, he has spent nearly two decades bridging the gap between local homeowners and the growing international buyer pool.
Having personally sold over a thousand properties and conducted hundreds of transparent, competitive auctions, Janssen knows the local market inside and out.
To mark the occasion, Adam Fiteni (pictured centre), CEO of Harcourts Victoria, shared his enthusiastic endorsement of the new venture:
"Having Michael and Janssen at the helm of Harcourts Box Hill is a massive win for our network and the local area.
Their combined track record is undeniably exceptional, but it’s their genuine commitment to their clients and their deep roots in Melbourne's diverse community that truly set them apart. We couldn't be prouder to support this launch and watch them grow."
Beyond the impressive sales figures, the Harcourts Box Hill team is deeply invested in the neighbourhoods they serve.
Community involvement has always been a cornerstone of Janssen’s career; he regularly donates his auctioneering talents to charities, including Lions Clubs, Rotary Clubs, and the community initiative Alex Makes Meals, which supports people experiencing food insecurity.
The opening of Harcourts Box Hill marks the beginning of a sincere, long-term partnership with the local community.
With a firm focus on transparent communication, ethical practices, and a truly personal approach to client relationships, Michael, Janssen, and their team are ready to help you navigate the property market—one honest conversation at a time.
