They’ve already got the colour sorted. Now the Red Team is putting it to work.
NAI Harcourts is getting behind Day for Daniel this October, with Head of Commercial Tom Donnelly calling on the network’s Red Team – and the wider Harcourts community – to come together in support of child safety.
The Harcourts Foundation is supporting the 2026 Day for Daniel campaign, with teams across the Harcourts network encouraged to get behind the campaign on Friday 30 October.
And for NAI Harcourts, the first part should be easy.
They’re already the Red Team.
“We’re already the Red Team,” Tom said.
“So when Day for Daniel asks people to wear red, I thought, well, that part shouldn’t be too difficult for us.
“But the colour is just the starting point. What matters is using our people, our offices and our connections with local communities to help get an important message out there.”
Day for Daniel is Australia’s largest national event dedicated to child safety education and awareness. It brings schools, workplaces, businesses and communities together to help children recognise, react and report when they feel unsafe.
The Daniel Morcombe Foundation’s message is simple: Wear Red. Educate. Donate.
Tom is encouraging NAI Harcourts teams to embrace all three – while encouraging the wider Harcourts network and its communities to get involved too.
“Get the team involved. Wear red. Share the message,” Tom said.
“Talk about child safety. Share the resources. Get your clients and your community involved.
“And if you can organise a fundraiser or make a donation to support the Daniel Morcombe Foundation’s work, even better.”
There are plenty of ways for Harcourts teams to participate.
Offices can wear red and share a team photo, promote the campaign through social media or client communications, organise a fundraising activity, share child safety resources or make a donation.
It doesn't need to be complicated.
Sometimes a conversation, a shared post or a team photo is enough to help put child safety on the agenda.
The campaign has been championed across Harcourts by Tim Williams of Harcourts Local, whose team participated in Day for Daniel last year.
For Tom, building on that enthusiasm across NAI Harcourts – and encouraging others across the Harcourts network to join in – is a natural fit.
“Our businesses are part of their communities every day,” he said.
“We have a chance to use that connection for something that goes beyond property and commercial conversations.
“So, Red Team, this is our chance. But it’s bigger than us.
“Let’s get behind it, get our communities involved and help spread the message.”
The Harcourts Foundation is encouraging offices across the wider Harcourts network to participate in Day for Daniel, with Foundation Ambassadors available to help teams get involved.
