More than 100 women from across the Woodards network have gathered at an International Women’s Day morning tea to reflect on how small actions can create meaningful change, hear leadership insights, network and raise funds for the Woodards Foundation’s housing initiatives.

If there is one thing I have learned on the journey to becoming a CEO, it is that the higher you climb, the more you realise you simply do not have all the answers. I have certainly made my fair share of missteps along the way—some of which still make me wince slightly in hindsight.

Days like this matter because they challenge complacency. Real estate is built on momentum. Listings, negotiations, targets, growth. We measure performance relentlessly, often without stopping to examine the system that enables that performance. International Women’s Day gives us a reason to step back and ask a deeper question, not how much we are achieving, but how we are enabling others to achieve.
