Domain’s momentum under CoStar Group ownership is impossible to ignore.
Just eight weeks after the acquisition, the property platform has recorded a record-breaking 55.1 million visits in October 2025, representing a 46% year-on-year surge and marking Domain as the fastest-growing property portal in Australia.
The results reflect a powerful market shift: Australians are embracing cleaner, more transparent property experiences, signalling that the appetite for a serious alternative in the portal space has finally arrived.
Record Growth Redefines the Playing Field
Domain’s network — including Domain.com.au, Allhomes, and CommercialRealEstate.com.au — saw accelerated growth across every key metric:
55.1 million total visits in October 2025 (up 46% YoY)
Listing views up 25% YoY
App visits growing twice as fast as REA Group’s, with 137% YoY app download growth
CommercialRealEstate.com.au also achieved 2.9 million visits, with listing views rising 49% YoY
These figures position Domain as Australia’s most rapidly expanding property search platform, driven by increased consumer trust, product improvements, and the strategic influence of CoStar Group.
“Australians Were Hungry for Choice”
Jason Pellegrino, President of Domain and CoStar Group, said the record growth proves the Australian market is ready for genuine competition.
“Australians and agents have been hungry for choice,” Pellegrino said. “Our platforms are delivering record growth because people are responding to what we stand for, a professional, modern property experience.
Our record visits and double-digit growth in listing views show we’re building a quality audience at scale.”
Under CoStar Group’s leadership, Domain has accelerated product innovation, including improvements to search simplicity, visual presentation, and data depth, all designed to create a smarter, faster, and more refined user experience.
Domain Sets a New Industry Benchmark: No More Third-Party Ads
In a move set to redefine the property portal experience, Domain will remove all non-property, third-party advertising from its platforms beginning 1 December 2025, becoming the only major marketplace in Australia to make this commitment.
The change will roll out across Domain.com.au, Allhomes.com.au, and CommercialRealEstate.com.au, delivering a cleaner, faster, and more focused experience for buyers, vendors, and agents alike.
“When someone lists their property, they’re investing thousands of dollars to showcase their home, not to compete with ads for credit cards or holidays,” Pellegrino said.
“We’re here to raise the standard. Vendors deserve an experience entirely focused on property, not cluttered by unrelated offers or competing promotions.
Letting go of non-property ad revenue is a small price to pay for a better experience for everyone, and it’s just the beginning of what’s to come.”
Innovation, Integrity, and Industry Disruption
Under CoStar Group ownership, Domain is leveraging global technology infrastructure already proven across the U.S. — enhancing page speed, image quality, and data transparency across listings.
Backed by a twofold increase in marketing investment, the company’s focus on trust, fairness, and usability is resonating with both agents and consumers, and its results are reshaping the competitive landscape.
This shift isn’t just about traffic — it’s about trust, modernisation, and momentum.
For years, the Australian portal market has been dominated by legacy habits and limited choice. Domain’s performance in October, and its decision to eliminate third-party advertising, signals a bold new era for digital property marketing.
Under CoStar’s global technology ecosystem, Domain is positioning itself not as a challenger, but as a redefinition of what a real estate portal should be: cleaner, more intelligent, and customer-first.
In a landscape where agents and consumers demand respect, clarity, and results, Domain’s transformation is more than market movement — it’s market leadership in motion.
