realestate.com.au announced it has launched The Next Address, a new podcast for anyone navigating
Australia’s property and homeowner journey. The series explores the people, ideas and forces shaping
Australia’s future homes and communities.
Research data from realestate.com.au shows the new home buyer journey can take around 22–23
months, with a large portion of that time spent on the monitor and search phases. The Next Address
will support consumers throughout that journey, helping them make sense of the market, ask better
questions and feel more confident about what comes next.
Whether listeners are buying their first home, purchasing their dream place, investing, upgrading or
downsizing, they will take away practical insights and fresh perspectives to help them navigate their
own home buying journey.
The show will feature the latest news, data and ideas shaping new communities and delve into
emerging suburb trends, planning and infrastructure, affordability constraints and changing buyer
needs.
Episodes will explore questions such as whether Australia is on track to build enough homes, how
government incentives affect first-home buyers, what makes a new suburb succeed and how design,
sustainability, transport and technology are changing the way Australians live.
A rotating team of realestate.com.au News Editors, you’ll hear from industry experts, developers,
builders, academics, REA leaders, councils and planners, finance experts and people with first-hand
experience creating new communities.
“The buying journey is about much more than choosing a floorplan. It is shaped by policy,
infrastructure, finance, design, construction and the communities people want to live in”, explains
Alice Piper, REA Group Podcast Lead.
“The Next Address will bring those conversations to life in a clear, useful and engaging way, helping
people understand the forces shaping their next home, wherever they are on their journey.”
The Next Address will publish fortnightly from September 29, 2026, and will be available to listen on all
streaming platforms. Supporting video and editorial content will be distributed through
realestate.com.au’s social and owned channels.
