Hvana — The digital Clubhouse Giving Property Managers a Home of Their Own

For years, property managers have quietly held the real estate industry together.
They’ve been the first to pick up the phone and the last to switch off the lights — managing expectations, juggling compliance, and keeping clients calm while the market around them shifted.
Through legislation changes, landlord demands, and a constant wave of new technology, they’ve held the fort. But somewhere along the way, their role became heavier, noisier, and lonelier than it should ever have been.
Now, a new digital movement is aiming to change that.
Introducing Hvana: A Space Built for the People Who Hold It All Together
Created by a board of respected industry figures and led by Real Estate Today founder Nic Fren, Hvana is being described as a digital clubhouse — a community built to give property managers something they haven’t had in years: space to connect, breathe, and feel part of something bigger.
Unlike the coaching programs or compliance tools that have dominated recent years, Hvana isn’t built on systems or sales. It’s built on community, conversation, and care.
“When the idea was first presented, the board wanted more than infrastructure,” Fren explains.“They wanted heart. Someone who understood what it feels like to be a property manager today — and who could unite the industry around something positive.”
“We’re Tech’d, Coached and Trained Out — Now We Just Want Fun.”
Fren admits he didn’t apply for the role; he was persuaded into it.
“The build has been insane,” he says. “I’ve built a few brands in my time, but the rate at which this is gaining traction has genuinely surprised me. I think we’ve reached a point where the industry is tech’d, compliance’d, coached and trained out.
What people are craving now isn’t another program — it’s joy. It’s connection. That’s what Hvana is about.”
Inside Hvana: Twelve Clubhouses, One Community
At the heart of Hvana are twelve digital Clubhouses — themed spaces that bring property managers together through everyday connection, collaboration, and a sense of fun.
From The PM Pantry (where members share quick hacks and dinner emojis) to The Zen Den (a calm corner for mindfulness and reset), and Friday Happy Hour (a space to unwind with the community), each Clubhouse encourages light, authentic engagement.
There’s also room for laughter, travel dreams, pet stories, open conversations about legislation, and even a no-judgement “Dear Jo” advice column.Because in Hvana, every side of the job — and every part of the person — belongs.
“Yes, there are plenty of Facebook groups out there,” Fren says. “I’m in some of them, and they can be great — but they often spiral into negativity.
Hvana flips that. If someone’s had a tough call, they can vent safely, even laugh about it, then move on. We’re turning frustration into momentum.”
The Mood Board: Checking In, Not Out
Hvana’s Mood Board reimagines mental-health check-ins as simple, visual moments of connection.Members can log how they feel, reflect briefly, and receive instant feedback — from light-hearted trophies for great weeks to gentle reminders when things are harder.
If responses suggest someone might need extra support, Hvana links directly to trusted services such as Beyond Blue and RiSE, with an anonymous “call-through Hvana” feature currently in development.
“We’re not therapists,” Fren says. “We’re bridge-builders. Sometimes people just need a place to start the conversation — that’s what this does.”
The Early Response
Since its soft launch, Hvana has already struck a chord across the sector.
“The initial interest has been extraordinary,” Fren reflects. “We’re seeing engagement from every corner of the country. It tells me one thing — this industry was ready for something real.”
A Cultural Reset for Property Management
Hvana isn’t advertiser-led. It doesn’t belong to sponsors or algorithms. It belongs to the people who show up every day to solve problems, calm chaos, and keep the wheels turning.
From coastal offices to inner-city hubs, from boutique independents to national networks, Hvana represents something rare in the industry — a cultural reset built on empathy, humour, and genuine connection.
Because property managers were never the problem. They’ve always been the glue.
The table’s set. The doors are open. And the movement has begun.
