Some say that real estate is all about "location, location, location." But for the team at Harcourts Manningham, it’s really about "community, community, community." Proving that business is about more than just bricks and mortar, the agency has renewed its commitment to the local area, headlined by a continued partnership with the Serpell Tennis Club.
For over six years, Harcourts Manningham has been quietly contributing a portion of every sales commission to the Harcourts Foundation. It’s their way of ensuring that as the business grows, the neighbourhood grows with it. But writing a cheque is one thing; getting involved at the grassroots level is another entirely.
The agency has forged a special bond with Serpell Tennis Club, a vibrant local hub in Templestowe with around 290 members. Through a structure of referral fees from sales and property management, the agency provides direct financial injections into the club.
This funding isn't just sitting in a bank account; it’s being used to develop players and upgrade facilities, ensuring the courts are ready for the next generation of grand slam hopefuls (or just enthusiastic weekend warriors).
For Harcourts Manningham Director Nima Goharpey, this isn't just corporate responsibility—it’s personal history. A member of the club since 2001, Nima was recently appointed President.
"I’ve spent weekends on these courts for over two decades, so stepping up as President was a natural, albeit slightly daunting, progression," Nima says. "Connecting my business life with my club life just makes sense. It’s about looking after the places that look after us."
Pauline Smith, Head of the Harcourts Foundation, praises the genuine nature of the partnership.
"It is incredibly heartening to see our franchises take the ethos of the Harcourts Foundation and run with it in their own backyards," says Smith.
"Harcourts Manningham understands that true support goes beyond a logo on a wall. Their dedication to Serpell Tennis Club is a shining example of how local businesses can foster connection and wellbeing. We are incredibly proud of the impact Nima and the team continue to make."
Looking ahead, the agency is delighted to confirm its sponsorship through to 2026. This includes kitting out all competition members in sharp new Serpell Tennis Club x Harcourts Manningham polo tops.
